Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

hagumi4
I was diagnosed with this illness around four to five months ago when I visited the family cardiologist and I did not have the chance to research on it more extensively. When I did so just a few minutes ago I came to understand that 1) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) has no direct cause, except that it may be just an offshoot of a separate sickness or that it's hormone-induced; 2) there's no cure for it in form of actual medication but only some actions to be taken in order to prevent further complications. I possess almost 85% of the symptoms stipulated in the US Health Department's Centre for Disease Control and Prevention's website article on CFS and now I can agree with my doctor: I do have CFS.

Implications?

I can't engage in some activities which other people consider as not too strenuous like standing for more than an hour, thinking a lot, reading too much in one sitting  (as does a regular bookworm), travelling in the same vehicle for more than two hours straight... even teaching as a regular work routine! So I always had to resign from any institution as I could not bear anymore my debilitating predicament. Sometimes I think of my condition as totally unfair as I truly loved all my previous teaching jobs as I've always had this deep affection for the academe. But it seems that teaching can never be reconciled with a person sick with CFS--inspite of such eagerness & zeal the latter bequeaths such an esteemed career. But no matter. I resign myself to Divine Providence and His benevolence.
